Debaura James is a twenty-one year veteran teacher. She has taught all grades from pre-school through twelfth grade. Her love is teaching social studies because she feels this is her opportunity to change the world, one student at a time.

Students with global awareness, historical perspective, and compassion become the movers and shakers of tomorrow. She loves challenging students to think, but also loves being challenged by the thoughts of her students.

Debaura is an avid outdoors-woman, loving to run, hike, bicycle, rock-climb, kayak, snorkel. She also loves good literature and is delighted by young people.
